What is the difference between NANOCX and NANOATIV?
NANOCX is the product resulting from a specific nanoencapsulation process that we call NANOATIV.
Is NANOCX a nanometal (nanosilver, nanocopper…)?
No. Despite its long-lasting antiseptic activity, common to nanometals such as nanosilver, nanoativ is a nanoencapsulation of an active ingredient of organic origin. Its action is not permanent like that of nanometals, which brings special advantages for application in biodegradable materials.
What does long-lasting antiseptic mean?
Long-lasting antiseptics are compounds that have the ability to eliminate or prevent the growth of microorganisms for an extended period. In the case of NANOCX, there is antimicrobial activity for over 60 days when applied to bases such as paper or fabric.
Do I need any specific equipment to handle NANOCX?
NANOCX is easy to handle and can be readily adapted to the industrial process of the products that will receive the technology, without the need for specific investment to include the technology in the product. EHRENA analyzes each case individually, from compatibility with the excipients involved in the partner’s process to finding the best time and way to apply our nanotechnology.
Is NANOCX water-soluble? Is it compatible with alcohol or other antiseptic active ingredients?
Yes. NANOCX is water soluble, without the need to use solvents in the process. We have also tested the compatibility of NANOCX with several antiseptic actives and there is full compatibility.
Is NANOCX compatible with anionic excipients?
Despite the positive charge of the active ingredient, we have achieved compatibility with anionic excipients in satisfactory proportions for most of the formulations we have needed to study. EHRENA collaborates with the partner in the compatibility study with the excipients, respecting the specificities of each one.
Can EHRENA nanoencapsulate other actives?
Yes. EHRENA intends to offer the NANOATIV process to the market, working on the nanoencapsulation of other active ingredients that are presented by its partners.
What is NANOCX23?
NANOCX23 is a version of NANOCX specifically designed for cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations.
